11 - Exú ASMODEUS, Belzebu

Asmodeus is a prominent figure in Judeo-Arabic mythology and is widely considered the king of demons. According to this tradition, he is the son of King David and the daughter of Lilith and Lucifer, which places him in a prominent position in the demonic hierarchy, second only to Lucifer in Hell. The name Asmodeus, or Ashmedai in Hebrew, carries the connotation of "the one who is consumed by fire."

This demon is notoriously associated with carnal desire and is described as the evil spirit of lust. In some beliefs, Asmodeus is seen as the one responsible for preventing couples from having sexual relations, thus making procreation difficult. Additionally, he is associated with inciting adultery and destroying marriages.

In the narrative of Jewish mythology, Asmodeus is also described as a seraphim, which means he was originally a celestial creature before his fall. The belief that not only Lucifer but also other angels fell from heaven is shared by Christianity, suggesting that Asmodeus was part of this group.

The description of Asmodeus is impressive and frightening: he is portrayed as a demonic king of great power, with three heads (the first of a buffalo, the second of a man, and the third of a goat) and a serpent's tail. Flames of fire come out of his mouth, his feet are like those of a goose, and he rides an infernal dragon while holding a flag in his hand.

In addition to his influence on lust and carnal desire, Asmodeus is also associated with teaching arithmetic, astronomy, geometry, and various manual crafts. He is known for granting the "ring of Virtues" and rules over 72 legions of lesser spirits alongside Lucifer.

For the perfect balance between Light and Darkness, Asmodeus brings the counterpoint, directly from the Realm of Ferno, to Shelloma's work, assisting in the totality of Energy.
